Anti-apartheid leader and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Nelson Mandela passed away at his Johannesburg home on Thursday after a prolonged lung infection. The 95-year-old former President of South Africa was revered as an icon of struggle against injustice and of racial reconciliation.
